French Conjugation Application

This is an application for practicing French conjugations. I worked with Claude code to build it for my daughter who is in 4th grade (CM1) at a French International School.

Conjugations in any romance language are hard for us English speakers to learn, yet they are critical to understanding the language and speaking appropriately. After finding success with the Dictée app I decided to try this.

How to use the application

There are two ways to use this application: download the app for android or open it in the webpage. If you are interested in the app please read below!

App levels

This app has 4 levels:

  1. Level 1: Present, imperfect, and simple future tenses

  2. Level 2: All above and the passé composé

  3. Level 3: All above and conditional and present subjunctive

  4. Level 4: All above and imperative

App Modes

This app has 3 modes:

  1. Conjugue - Conjugate - The word is given with the tense and person, you conjugate.

  2. En contexte - In context - A cloze passage is generated with the correct tense and person given with the infinite verb. You conjugate to complete the sentence.

  3. Choix Multiple - Multiple choice - The verb is given with the person and tense. 4 choices are provided, you select the correct one.

The link above has installation instructions. If you want the app, click the download link below. This is only available for android. When you download it you will need to change your settings to allow unknown apps to install. Once it downloads and you click install you will have to click on advanced and bypass the playstore warning. Pease refer to the page above for more detailed instructions.
